Sustain pedal with Nord Stage 4

Hi all,
I have the M gear sustain pedal which works perfectly well with the NS4. I see within the shift/pedal function there are choices for either sustain or sustain plus rotor. I was hoping that either setting could be saved within a programme but it doesn't seem to work? Whatever I select remains on all programmes, is this a bug or the norm?
