Is there a list of the differences in the capabilities of the different nsmp formats, as well as which formats apply to which Nord products?

My post discusses it somewhat here. NSMP4 format adds the capability for round robin, a more realistic vibrato, and better unison mode; currently just the NS4 and Piano 5 use that format. The Nord Keyboards website lists the compatible keyboards for each sample type.

There are sample features that are implemented in the format but not available in the Nord Sample Editor.
For information, nsmp3 are able to have velocity ranges, but not nsmp (see : nord-stage-3-programs-ns3p-files-f32/ns ... 23885.html).
Remember they are upwards compatible (with current issue nsmp3 to nsmp4), but not downwards.

If I remember well (but not 100% sure) .nsmp2 introduced the categories also for samples (not available on .nsmp) and .nsmp3 the "preset parameters" for synth section associated to each .nsmp3
