using midi module with c2

I would like to trade up to a C2, i currently have a 2 73 and a 3 hp.
I would like to use a module to play some piano sounds.
can i use only one register (with no draw bar setting) to activate a the module sounds without the organ coming through.
are the two manuals able to run different midi channels?

Yes, you can do that.
The two manuals transmit on channel 1 and 2 by default, and are completely independant.
I saved a program like that (organ on the swell, and a 00000000 setting on the great manual) and used it with mainstage, and it works really well.

The keybed action is not what I prefer for piano type sounds, but who cares:-)

I am running the combinations in an O1W from my C2. Great fun setting them up!! It is making my life a lot easier to say the least. I run swell on midi 2 great on 3, and leave 1 if I need to go through the O1W to a module. I used them tonight at a job and think I scared the fellas!! I just either turn down the organ if needed or as stated, run the swell manual at 000 000 000. Cheers and have fun!! Mike

P.S. I did not turn the swell off at all tonight!!!
