Hi folks
I wanted to download the roxy music mellotron samples from the artist sound librarys.
(https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ist-sounds)
But they are .nsmp3 files not .ne6p Is there a way to get them on my Electro 6?

If you read here: nordkeyboards.com/sound-libraries/nord-sample-library-30 You'll see that the NSMP3 is compatible with the Electro 6
You refer to .ne6p, which is a program file - not a sample (file).
So if you use the Nord Sound Manager, you ca drag any of these sample files in to the Elctro 6 ( if you have any left sample-space).

Download this sample in your Electro 6. Create a program and assign the Synth Engine to read the uploaded sample and you've started well !

... and check the manual to get yourself familiar with the concept of the Electro and the differences between programs and samples, that helps a lot to ease the use of the instrument

Short form: The samples (.nsmp3) are the actual recordings. When you upload them onto your keyboard, they're like the ingredients sitting in your pantry.

Unless you actually prepare a meal to use them (a program), nothing is going to happen.

So, as cookie writes, you need to create a program where the synth is set to USE that particular .nsmp file.

It's exactly the same with the piano sounds (.npno), btw. If you want to use them, load them onto the board and create a program where you tell the piano engine to use the .npno sound.
