Hi, I love my Nord Stage 4 but the Yamaha CFX Sample is my absolut favourite piano sample. Where can I get this sound for Nord???? So The Nord would become my absolute perfect instrument! Greetings Fritz

Hi, you can't of course, since at the moment there is no CFX sample in the Nord Piano Library, but there a number of other Yamaha's (Royal = Yamaha S6, Bright = Yamaha S4, .. see more on this thread

Hi Fritz,
not as an original nord sample, just a small step away: Two weeks ago I bought the probably new app „Just Piano“ at 13 €. The samples are free, and the CFX along with a Steinberg 274 are the 4 GB files. I play them over MIDI on my iPad, the sound, particularly the sustain phase after the attack is to my taste very good.
If this is an option for you …
Cheers from Germany

By the way, I have during the past 4, 5 years written more than once to nord‘s PM Staffan that I could imagine a 1 GB large premium sample of one of the grands, now that the piano memory is at least that big. Could be the White or the Lady D or the Boesendorfer to my taste. It could be lovely sounding, being 4 to 5 times bigger than the XLs of today.
I‘m still hoping. Cheers from Germany

Not that my opinion matters too much, but I do not think that increasingly larger samples always lead to perceivable differences. I suspect that there is a limit after which no differences are consistently noticeable/measurable anymore, because there is not much more to capture. I would very much like to be proven wrong by means of a double blind test on a large population of musicians *and* another one of non-musicians.

Hi Bert, what was Staffan‘s response to this?
