I'm thinking of switching from the Lead A1 to the Wave 2 (mainly because of keybed, aftertouch and display).
A specific question for the Wave 2 owners, which the manual could not answer:
Several layers can be grouped and then edited together. Question: Can also the Glide function be set globally for several grouped layers or only separately for each single layer?
Thanks!

Hi-
Grouping the layers together will not affect the glide settings, as Glide is not a Group parameter. There are a couple of easy workarounds, though. You can set each layer for mono and set the glide to the same value, I just tested using 6.3. Additionally, you set the glide the way you want in Layer 1, then copy that to the other layers and then change the waveform, tuning etc.

Thanks for your quick reply! Yes, copying layers could be a solution.DJKeys wrote:Hi-

In the meantime I dived deeper into the manual and found this "Multi Edit" function. It sounds like that's exactly what I'm looking for, right?

Hi-
I didn't find that in my printed manual at all, but I have one of the first units. The electronic manual shows this and it works like a charm! It was added in version 1.0.

This function exists on the Lead A1, and so I was almost sure that there has to be a similar way on the Wave 2.
Thanks for confirmation!

Re: Wave 2: setting Glide also for a group of layers?
The multi edit function was how I did it when I owned the Wave 2.
You can also set up glide as a morph destination while in multi edit mode, and then you can tweak it with, say, the mod wheel.
Why glide was never part of a morph group in the first place was yet another baffling design choice, and you potentially lose an entire morph source just for this, but if you don't need to control glide on the fly you can just set it with multi edit and forget about it. For some synth leads I like to be able to control glide as I play for expression which is why I mention the morph.
