I've been using the RME Micstasy with my Nord Grand, and it's seriously amazing! The sound quality is crystal clear, and I'm absolutely loving it!
However, I've been considering buying a new preamp lately. Has anyone here used the 1073 or 1081? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them without EQ presets.
What are the major differences between the two? Also, I'm curious to know which preamp you're using!

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Both 1073 and the 1081 are mic pre-amps and both of them are going to color the sound of the Nord Grand.

If that is what your looking for then fine, but generally speaking the goal would be to have keyboards run through as transparent a preamp as possible (which the RME is actually very good at).
