Drum looper compatible with Nord Stage 3

Post by jalexquijano »

I bought Nord stage 3 compact 73 keys last year. I learned to play keyboard using a Yamaha Electone 200 where you play chords with the left hand on the bottom keys and lead with the right hand. Nonetheless, i remember the Electone had some rhythm presets and you just laid a C or G chord with you left hand and had your rhythm complete. Do people still play this way when they have no band members and want to play as a one band man? If so would yo recommend buying a second Yamaha PSR keyboard or a drum looper? WHich brand fully compatible with the Nord?

Hello

People who want to play as a one band man usually don't buy Nord gear, because they are designed as the exact opposite of what you describe. No automatic comping, no sequencer, a basic arpeggiator is the best you can have.
But if you like the sounds of your Nord Stage, you can mix them with any other MIDI compatible brand (PSR Yamaha, software solution, ...) driven by the extern section of the Nord Stage.

Regards
