NS4 Whishlist (for WannitBBBad inventory)

1) Bring the “mono button” back (even though the NS4 can auto select when only one wire is plugged)
2) Make possible to still have the synths local sounds while “external” is selected for a synth (also see nord-stage-forum-f3/external-kills-loca ... 23705.html )
3) Solve the category & alphabetical select issue (Shift - program dial)
4) Solve the LED issue under the Shift-Init synth (LED stays black)
5) Add the possibility to have samples + waves (instead of only waves) in the OSC “Multi” category as it was in the NS3 (by using OSC2)
eg. Sample + waveform/shape or “bell” or “Noise” (with pitch detune + & - till “sub”) see video in link. (See also : nord-stage-forum-f3/osc-2-and-led-under ... 23712.html )
6) Layer Scene II should possibly do more than only memorise the “on” “off” positions of the instruments.
It would be great as the volume levels and the individual effect chains selections could also be integrated and be different in Layer Scene I & II so that we get back a kind of panel A/B. Of course even muck better if the choice of the instruments could be also different in LS I & II.
As it will affect the memory maybe think about a system setting where user could choose this possibility knowing that he won’t be able to store as many programs as initially foreseen.
7) Let the user free to choose to use the “live” button to be or the “live” mode or being a “song” mode (same remark as above if this affects memory management)
8) Make the volume controls of the instruments smarter : at this moment, imagine that in your preset the volume of a part is set to the max (all leds lit) but that the physical fader is at its minimum position. Then if you slightly move up the fader, the sound will abruptly drop to match the fader position. The best solution would be that it behaves like on mixers (f.i. Zoom L-20) : you first have to put the fader to the position matching the Led level to make it active. So the fader starts having its effect from the volume level position it was initially set on. So it is a “catch” and not a “jump”.
It could also be useful for the organ drawbars as the “sync” button there acts a bit differently just resetting the drawbars led levels to the physical levels.
Also for rotating knobs like the “filter” one. A “jump” can create undesired effects in “live”. So a “catch” would be highly appreciated.
9) 'change focus upon parameter change' = set focus to the layer as soon as you change anything to it. It would be useful if a part get's the focus if anything of that part is changed, e.g., the volume, a drawbar level for the organ, a filter of the synth section, a piano sound, ...
- If something I proposed is already existing but for one or another reason I ignore it is the case, you are welcome to tell me (and even explain how it works
- If something is not clear (I’m french speaking) tell me and let’s discuss so that I can rephrase
