K&M Spider Pro arms

I am finally retiring my Ultimate Apex stand I’ve been using for 25 years in favor of a Spider Pro with a 3rd tier.

I have it set up with a NS3C on the bottom, NW2 in the middle, both with the flat arms, and a Rev2 on top with the 15 degree arms. I like the fact that you can pull the arms out to provide more depth and I think I have a workable layout, but I wish K&M provided that “lip” on the end of the straight arms as well so there’s no risk of the keyboard being pulled out, plus I could easily align the bottom boards too.

Anyone use a Spider Pro and have this concern, or is it a non-issue?

Not an issue, unless you like to beat your keyboards like a drum.

30 years ago maybe, but then I had an aluminum A frame stand and a cam got loose on the top, and….

Edit - had reached out to K&M as well and they said it shouldn’t be an issue…because they’re flat. So I won’t worry about it :)

Really liking this stand so far.

I've used mine now for about ten years (?), very reliable, lightweight, etc. When it breaks, I will likely get another one. The carry bag is junk, go find an inexpensive padded bag used for mic stands, etc. and you will be much happier. Also, when folded up, you can easily carry it using one of the folded legs as a handle.

Also buying from Thomann last year when the Euro was down was a good move - $249 for the stand and $40 for a 3rd tier. Sweetwater sells the stand alone for $580!
