sound manager display does not show organ patches. example...A:13 B3 Jazzy Joey patch reads "Royal Grand...using 2 piano/samples"
No read out of any organ being used. And it's clearly the B3 sounds. Using the latest version of sound manager and my Stage 3 is updated as well.
Need to do backup and bundles for out of town gigs but afraid to trust the software. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: Sound manager issue
You already asked because of this issue - a few days ago.

I wonder how this could happen. No idea if a backup under these conditions would work or not.

Re: Sound manager issue
That's correct, Sound manager does not provide an organ bank on the program (what you are calling patch) description. i have about 12 B3 programs and a couple Vox/Farf ones and they all have a piano and sample library entry even though I don't use either of those in the programs themselves. That confused me at lot when I first bought a Nord but it's something to do with their coding. Every program must have a piano and sample "attached" to it even if you don't use them.
See the photo for one of mine. What it means is while I'm running my Rock Organ program, if I turn on the Piano or Sample button those are the sounds that will come up and layer over my organ sound. Backups - I have no idea, I've never had to run a restore to reinstall programs. I back up about once a month. Do backups keep the organ program information like registrations, rotary selection, chorus/percussion etc? I assume so but have never tested it. The factory restores have all the organ program information so I don't see why personal backups wouldn't be the same.

Re: Sound manager issue
The Sound Manager only tells you what patches are loaded into a particular location. It doesn't tell you anything about any of the individual settings. Yes backups contain all of the settings.

Re: Sound manager issue
Sorry for the irritation! I seem to have misunderstood your description.
So the name of the program is "A:13 B3 Jazzy Joey" as much on the Stage 3 panel as in the software list? Then everything should be fine. The software only lists dependencies (piano and synth samples needed within the program), not properties of the program - as Gambold and cgrafx explained.
None of the organ engines need to be backed up: They are built into the instrument (not really hard-wired, but part of the OS).
If you create bundles, the system settings for the organ sound aren't copied, I think. With a full backup, they should. Either test it or write them down to fiddle them in on the remote keyboard.
