Nord Stage 4 vibrato in the synth section

I had a problem with the vibrato in the synth section, apparently with samples mode, so using samples doesn't work, while in analog mode it works. It should always work, at least it did with Nord Stage 3! Can any other NS4 owners confirm?

Is the problem with all vibrato modes including MW and Aftertouch? Have you tried a user-created sample? I can't confirm the problem (still NS3 owner), but the enhanced vibrato of the NSMP4 samples is one of the benefits of the new format, so likely a bug to be reported given your NS3 experience.

I have this problem with all vibrato modes, using my samples. Now I don't remember if it works well with factory loaded nsmp4 samples, I'll accept myself, but with my own samples I have this problem.

It would be good to find out if the vibrato is OK for factory samples but not user-created samples to provide in your feedback to Nord. If so, then the next question is whether you created the NSMP4 samples using Nord Sample Editor 4 or loaded NSMP3 samples with Sound Manager converting them to NSMP4. The problem might be an NS4 problem, app problem, or both.

I just did all the necessary tests. The vibrato only works with the factory samples, those that I found already loaded and those that I downloaded from the official site in nsmp4 format. Both with the samples I loaded in nsmp3 format and converting them to nsmp4, and with the new samples made in the last few days with nord sample editor 4 (o.s.4.20), it doesn't work in Vibrato. I just checked the nord sampler software trying to figure out if there was a function to activate, such as the dynamics one, for example, but I didn't see anything related to vibrato. At this point it is possible that it is a bug. I am writing to Nord support and will keep you updated. In the meantime, if there was someone who can give an explanation to solve the problem, it is always welcome!

Great feedback. NS4 owners have also found that Nord Sound Manager 7.70 won't convert NSMP files to NSMP4 format like it does with the Piano 5. I'll put a request out to the Piano forum to see if anyone has a similar vibrato problem with user-created samples. As I don't know the NS4 synth (yet), my suggestion would be to see if a sine LFO can be applied to the OSC to make it smoothly vary in pitch. Good luck to you!

I just received this response from a Piano 5 owner confirming the vibrato works with a converted "user-created" NSMP file and a NSMP4 file created using Nord Sample Editor 4. so it appears this is a NS4 bug that needs to be reported.
Nordlicht wrote:Hi,
I've just checked it and loaded both files into my Piano 5. Both files work fine and sound identically, both without and with Vibrato.
Here's a link to my Piano 5 post requesting the vibrato test:

Are you sure? I understand from that thread that Vibrato is not working on the NP5 with user created samples since the sample sounds the same with or without Vibrato enabled?

Sorry, I probably worded it in a misleading way:
In the NP5 I could upload both files without problems and they sound there as they should. Both sound identical without vibrato and both sound also identical with vibrato, i.e. the vibrato works with both files exactly as with samples from the library.
