Nord Stage 8? Customized.

I customized the look of my Nord with new knobs, etc. The two red ones are overdrive; copper, silver and gold for synth, blue for effects, purple for delay, green for amps, with chicken heads for master and compression. Goofy? Yeah. But I actually find it helpful on dark stages and low places. I also cleaned up the big font front with black gaffer’s tape,’some red reflectors and a slightly nicer sized logo peeled off a triple pedal. And since some Nord aficionados are excited about the release of the Stage 4, I ”upgraded” mine from a 3 to an 8. It sounds better now!
Thanks for all the advice I never thank you for. It truly is appreciated.

Nice - but I don’t like the drawbars, these should be replaced by something like beer tap handles from a pub which might make the organ sound more authentic

Absolutely evident: more vivid, more pulsing, more sputtering, somewhat colourful in sound.
Just the plea Schorsch already raised.

If only I could switch out the drawbars for tiny beer tap handles, Guinness for black, St. Paulie for white, etc., I could die happy (many too-brief years from now)!
One thing that bothers me about my set-up after years playing Hammond B-3, the Nord looks so thin on stage. I LOVE its weight, of course. But sometimes I wish for a facade or stand that looks as heavy as the Stage 3 sounds. And if it could be lightweight and fold to fit behind the backseat of a Honda CRV with the rest of my gear, I’d trade a steady Monday gig for that. For a couple of months anyway.

Nice, now it looks almost like one of those Italian combo organ from the Seventies, with all those colored switches and buttons (if you could also change the Nord black/grey buttons to colored ones it would be perfect)

What about coloring the white keys like a rainbow, from red on the very left to blue on the very right - that would make it a perfect Hippie-colored instrument to play on a Woodstock revival

A bit tacky but that's a lot of work, kudos for that!

It’s tacky, yes! And to protect its tacky beauty, I tucked its Nord case into a slightly larger generic gig bag, with some cut foam “water noodles” duct taped at the bottom and at both ends. It’s still very light, and really well protected.
Its one tiny ding on an end cap occurred on-stage, inflicted by a damn bass player (you know how excited they get to have a gig).
A more useful security tip might be the Apple Air Tag hidden inside the Nord case’s pocket. If you steal my tacky Nord, I will find you!
