I'm curious to know about the Stage 4 hammer action keybed feel. Has anybody played both Stage 3 and Stage 4 (hammer action) that could comment on the difference in feel? Thanks!

I just heard it too. One would have to ask him if he knows or if he just suspects.

It definitely doesn't seem to respond as well as the Piano 5 in terms of what I can see in any of the videos. Also, the Piano 5 action is called something different. The Stage 4 action appears to be a normal Fatar TP-40 M like they have been using forever.. but with an additional sensor - so triple sensors instead of two. That will absolutely help with piano response, but it isn't the same action as the TP-40 H in the Piano 5. This is a huge deal for me. I have owned the Piano 2, 3, 4, and tried the 5 out for a long while... none of them can touch the NX-GH in the CP88 or YC88. I agonized over whether I should trade my YC88 in for a Stage 4...and ultimately decided to buy the Stage 4 compact, to replace my Stage 3 - AND Keep my YC88, for the action when playing the Nord Piano sounds. Even the Nord Grand with the Kawai action, while extremely responsive... just doesn't feel great compared to the Roland PHA-50 or Yamaha NW-GH or NW-X. Maybe one day we will see the new TP-400W in a Nord. Hey... if Dexibell can do it.. who knows!?

New HiFi grand piano played on this video if I’m not mistaken.

I believe, that is a Preset - not a new sample? It sounds very much like the Bright Grand, or possibly the Studio Grand 2 (Yamaha C7). Happy to be wrong though.

You know... I noticed the Preset button for piano is NOT lit up, so if we are seeing a new Piano Sample in a demo that Nord didn't do? WOW. And... Thank You for a new Piano, Nord! It sounds great. A bit bright for an S6, but still lovely.

It sounds identical to the Royal Grand, now that I really listen.. but without the binaural phasing.. and that is also an S6! Interesting!

Fwiw, when the Royal Grand first came out, the accompanying blurb indicated that a non-binaural version would be coming out in the near future after the binaural version, but it never did, and they took that language out of the blurb.
