If you download NS4 factory restore file and change extension in rar you could have new pianos:
I've tried substituting White piano and it' s all ok.

I don't think the version bumps for pianos already in the library necessarily include enhancements for any instrument other than the one they're intended for, the Nord Stage 4 in this instance. I don't think there are any sonic enhancements, they won't have gone out and resampled anything - if that's what people think - the newer 'samples' are just tweaked to support new features on the instrument - such as the compression control.

I suspect if you compared new and previous versions with a diffchecker you'd see minimal differences.

But good sleuthing and interesting nonetheless

Agreed.
Only interesting for non-Stage4 users if the size is smaller :)

Or when the OS of the Nord keyboards will upgrade to use some of the new features if possible.

There is quite a big difference in the file size of the White Grand, so it might be very interesting for many users with lack of free space:
White Grand XL 6.1: 256.8 Mb
White Grand XL 6.3: 213.5 Mb

From a first audition it seems that the level of the white piano is higher: normally I have to pump it with a level near 5 of the compressor. Now without compressor the level is similar to the old file with compressor.
