I tried to user the newer Yamaha FC-4A sustain pedal on my Electro 6D, and it does not work. It always sustains regardless of the setting. Auto, Open, and Close, all settings sustain when the pedal is not pressed. When I switched back to the FC-4 sustain pedal, it functions normally.
I think it's because the FC-4A has the half damper function. It has a TRS connector whereas the FC-4 only has a TS connector.
Guess I'll have to keep using the FC-4 with the Electro 6D.
Any other Electro users experience this problem?

Re: Electro 6D Sustain Pedal Problem
It is not a "problem", you cannot use continuous (TRS jack, potentiometer) damper pedals like the FC4A on NE, they are not supported; Sustain input accepts only on/off pedals (mono jack, switch), as per NE specs and manual.
