Hi all,
I noticed the following "weird" behaviour when selecting patches on my NS3 from the Nord Sound Editor on my MacBook: the correct patch gets selected, but the MIDI program changes associated with that patch are not sent. If I select the same patch on the NS3 directly everything works.
I used to rely on the Nord Sound Manager for selecting patches a lot back when I had the Nord Stage EX + external gear and back in those days it would always work as expected and send the program change independent of which means I chose to go to a new patch (laptop, program dial, program buttons, etc.)
I looked around and could not find a discussion, let alone a solution for it.
What am I missing or doing wrong?
Thanks!
Laurin

Re: Nord Sound Manager and MIDI Program Changes
I found out myself that using the Nord Sound Editor is not the most stable way for changing patches. Especially that Nord Sound Editor sometimes performs a kind of "refresh" which causes the NS2 to become unresponsive for 2 seconds (loading all information from the NS2 to Nord Sound Editor. That's why I've switched to a tool like Bandhelper (+midi interface) for switching patches on my gear.
with regards,
Bart

Re: Nord Sound Manager and MIDI Program Changes
+1, NSM is not intended for that type of usage, only for loading samples/programs and organizing them; for live switching of programs better go for a dedicated Setlist manager app like Camelot Pro, Mainstage, Cantabile, ...Berretje wrote:I found out myself that using the Nord Sound Editor is not the most stable way for changing patches.
