Can you use downloaded Electro 6D sound set on an Electro 5D

Nope. Only samples (.nsmp) and pianos (.npno) are compatible with different models. Programs are model specific and not cross compatible.

Most Nord products don't have the exact same feature set, so you can't use patches/programs from one model on another one. That's different from the keyboard style versions that exist within one model.

Of course, you can use most of the current piano samples even on an Electro 5D, and you can use any Sample Library 2 sound to shape your own sounds (the Electro 6 uses Sample Library 3 sounds).
