Hi,

It seems that the Drum Manager 2 is not compatible anymore with this macOS.

You could fill out a tech support form on the Nord's website with a update request.

Hi,

Thank you.
My request on clavia's website was routed to Algam, the main dealer for the country I live in, France.
Their answer is that no update is planned, an old but compatible system must be used, which I haven't of course ;)

I wanted to load some preset banks.
I found a solution to backup and restore my presets using the ND2's feature that can send or receive MIDI System Exclusive, and a free software named "Sysex Librarian" : https://www.snoize.com/sysexlibrarian

I still cannot load banks, this one for instance : https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ander-bank

Is there a way to extract syses messages from these banks .... ?

The file is a 'PK' : https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ander-bank

So it's expandable using 'unzip' command line tool.

Each file is a "CBIN" format :

I guess it is a proprietary format from Clavia.

nd2p preset files are 201 bytes long.

sysex preset files are 212 bytes long.

Here is a sysex preset file for instance :

How do we convert the nd2o to the Sysex format ?

Convert nd2p to sysex ?

Hello,

Because Nord Drum 2 Manager is not compatible with recent operating systems I have to use the ND2 's MIDI sysex send and recieve feature to save and load my presets.

Is there a way to convert Clavia's nd2p files to MIDI sysex files in order to load them as well ?

Hi Frantz,

Perhaps I can check if it works on my Windows 11 machine, and then see if I can find the sysex of a single program within the file of the entire bank. Perhaps it's just some extra header/trailer added per program to separate them within the bank file. Your first screenshot seems to suggest that, it says Program 000.nd2pCBIN ndp2 and further on Program001 etc

Why don't you instead run an older Windows operating system in a virtual machine, like Virtual Box, so that you can still use the old ND2 Manager app?
