NE6 - Modulation Option is not working

I have just dealt now with the pitch bend and modulation wheel options on my new NE6 with the help of the informations from this forum and the user manual.

I was also able to create pitch bend with the "external keyboard too low" function by using the internal keybed of the NE6, an iPad app and a special MIDI routing. However, I could not influence the tones on the NE6 with the modulation wheel.

So my question:

Does the NE6 use the commonly known MIDI modulation wheel setting, or if not, what is the MIDI CC number or configuration for it? ( ...or maybe only certain sounds from the NE6 offer the possibility of modulation...?! )

I don't think the NE6 sound engines know anything of modulation. It's just not existant on a NE6. You don't have a mod wheel and you don't have a morphing engine - and there is no modulation data within the sounds themselves.

But you did know that the NE6 doesn't have a pitch stick nor a mod wheel??? The only exception from these restrictions is what you already found: pitch on the extkb2low.

As the NE6 is not made for being a synth, it doesn't have those options - nor aftertouch. It's a great EP and organ, though!

Yes, that is right..., I just read in the update history that only the pitch bend function has been added.

Pity, because the Nord Piano 5 does not have a synth engine either, but it still has a vibrato function, but also with the next generation of the Sound library ( 4 ).

Perhaps this function will released with the next version of the NE.
