I stumbled over a rig tour that I found interesting: The War On Drugs keyboards. Adding even more pedals to my NS3 was a new idea for me - the only pedals I have for the moment are a NeoVent2 and a HoF (still experimenting with those).
Especially Eliza Hardy Jones fattening her Nord Electro sounds with an Eventide TriceraChorus (chorus/vibrato/chorale & filter) and a Strymon Volante (echo & reverb) - both stereo capable - was interesting for me. She wants to warm up and revive the digital sound of her Nord. Mainly the chorus sounded great to me.
What do you think about adding external FX to Nords pianos? We should have everything at hand, but wow...

Re: Freshen Nord sound?
Interesting point, I think it can make some sense particularly when we talk about analog pedals (which in some way complement or can give that "warmth" that the internal digital FXs of the Stage, though very good in their category, cannot have) or in case of digital pedals when they can provide FXs not present in the Stage (e.g. a Tape Delay, a BitCrusher, a Particle or Shimmering Reverb... ) or provide better sound or more parameters/options compared to the internal ones (typical case: the Neo Vent and HoF you already have)
I have a Line6 M9 which I use with my Moog Little Phatty and sometimes I think I'd like to try it with the Stage, to see what I can get and how it compares to the internal FXs.
At the end of the day, anyway, it is all up to the music we want to make and if we really feel the need for something more than what we can already get out of the NS box. But experimenting can indeed be a lot of fun (having the time to...)

Re: Freshen Nord sound?
...so I directly ordered the Eventide TriceraChorus. It absolutely intrigued me. And I hope I may get more presence within the bigband without raising the volume - which is already too much overall.
We usually have gigs not in a concert atmosphere but framing some other event like a local fair or a cultural festival. And 22 pieces, mostly brass can create a lot of sound already. So, my plan is to use that pedal for single songs only, when the piano shapes the beginning or the like. Even if that pedal seems to sound very tidy.
We'll see if I've got to report more on that in a few months.
NB: I'm surprised by myself - being a 'classical' piano man and having enough FX onboard. As I thought.
