Love the sounds - dumbass NOOB ALERT question...

Dear Anyone.

Taking the NOOB ALERT into consideration - is it possible to get a 32-bit VST Emulator of a Nord so I can use the lovely sounds without having to have one of the keyboards? It's not so much the price - though that does come into it - it's I'm disabled and can only use a mouse to put notes in with, so the keyboard would be wasted on me. Or is there anything that simulates a Nord and its lovely sounds/lets you buy and use the presets in lieu of one of the keyboards? I'm NOT ASKING FOR ANYTHING CRACKED - just wondering if I could buy the presets and use them on some kind of 32-bit (sorry - my disability music software is 32-bit, never got upgraded) VST.

Yours hopefully

Chris.

Hi Chris,

welcome to this forum!

your question is a bit too generic since there are many different Nord instruments available with different capabilities and focus. The general answer is “No” since there is no VST available from Nord. However, if you let us know which kind of sounds you are looking for there might be other vendors‘ VST available that could get you at least close - I would assume that you look for the Nord Synths like the Leads/A1 or the Wave? These might be difficult to get but if you instead want the tonewheel organs there are some very high quality VST on the market, same for piano/e-Piano.

Best regards Schorsch

There are one or two offerings where people have resampled Nord pianos and sell them as Kontakt instruments.

This repackaging expressly violates the licensing terms of the samples supplied by Nord as part of the instrument deal.

Every once in a while, they pop up on a new webshop and social media pages until they get shut down by nord‘s legal team.
