how to split using MIDI controller with NG?

Apologies if this has been covered before but I cannot find answers anywhere.
I got the nord grand about 8 months ago and I love it! I'm trying to figure out a way to use a MIDI controller/other keyboard to control one of the split sections on the grand, similar to how I sometimes use my NE6's "ext keyboard to lo" function.

I'd like to have one keyboard for the synth and the grand for piano sounds, but I'm not sure this is possible.

thanks in advance :thanks: :thanks:

Hi, sorry but nope, NG does not support that in any way.

Hi Willy,

So if I'm reading this right. You have a midi (master) controller (in this example an 88 key controller) and you want to assign the first 44 keys (for example) to play the Grand piano (over midi) and the next 44 keys you want to play any other (external) synth (over midi)?

If this is the case, it should be possible with iMidiPatchBay (ipad/iphone).

No I think the OP wants to play a synth sound from an external keyboard and use Nord Grand's keys (all 88) for a piano sound. With a Nord Electro this would be possible; with the Grand I fear maxpiano is right.

Yes sorry, perhaps I could've been clearer but yes that's what I was trying to achieve. Doesn't seem like it is a function the grand can handle.

Thanks for the input yall
