Hi,

yes you can open it on your PC. backup files are basically zip files, so just rename the extension of the file to .zip and you can unpack it on your computer to see the content of the file.

It’s not possible to open it with Nords Sound Manager as far as I know ..

How did you tried to open it? Did you use Nord Sound Manager?

If so it will not work - you need to unzip the file with either Windows Explorer or an unzip program, and then open the directory with Windows Explorer and look into the directory structure to see which files are included. If you are on a Mac do the same with Finder

Is it possible to extract certain elements of a backup ie samples and transfer to keyboard rather than restoring the entire backup through stage manager?

Have you read the previous answers? It is already explained there (rename to .zip and unzip the pick up the individual files you need )
