hello dear community

last week i drove across half of the country to buy my most favorite synthesizer in world (nord lead virtual analog).

the pictures and the pricing looked great, but when i arrived i saw that the PCMCIA slot was simply "not there".

there was the hole in the back and even the labeling was written there as it should be but the entire slot itself was missing.


now short story, i bought the synth. cheaper, way cheaper and now im wondering IF it would be possible to attach a PCMCIA slot holder in there to make this baby work.


ANY IDEAS / SUGGESTIONS / OR EVEN SLIGHT HINTS&TIPS are truly appreciated!

You probably have an original 4-voice Nord Lead. You need the 8-voice expansion card to add the PCMCIA contacts and memory capability.

Expansion which of course is long time discontinued, there are a couple for sale on Reverb LINK and LINK but they are "not cheap"... anyway there they are.

Sooo...I came across a voice expansion card locally. Way cheaper than the ones on Reverb and eBay, barely 200 USD
I'd be happy to sell it to you, Sam - if you're interested.
