Hi everyone

Does someone has experience using an external midi keyboard in a performance to control one of the other slots?
I mean its possible to use the split function, buy I need 2 times all the registers.

Is it easily doable or like super hacky?

Hi Dadu,

All of the Nord Lead series allow you to set each slot to a different MIDI channel and play that slot independently of the others from any external MIDI source. So, you just set your external keyboard to the MIDI channel of the slot you want to play, and it should work fine. The manual covers how to assign MIDI channels to slots, and your midi keyboard manual should show you how to set the channel it is controlling (sending data on) and if they are the same, then if you've wired them together right, you should be able to play any specific slot you want by changing the channel of the external keyboard. You could have up to 4 manuals this way!
