Nord green led's die and black buttons stop responding .

So I picked up a Nord Rack 2 and noticed that mine has an issue with the green LED's dying after about 30-45 minutes of use and the black buttons stop working mostly. Anyone here had this issue, is this common? So after about 30+ minutes I cannot see my settings and alter them and am wondering what the issue might be?

Love the sound of this thing though, I have wanted one for over a decade, beats all of my software synths or previous synths I have owned hands down.

I suggest to open up the synth, see http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/02 ... _versa.htm to check the flat cable connecting the Panel to the Motherboard. The link is mostly about handling the Lead, but it will guide you into the Rack too.

I'm thinking now that this may have been a noob error on my part. I only noticed this happening a couple of times however when I did I forgot to check if I had shut of the MIDI channel editing which will of course shut off the green lights and their functions. I have since yet to see this happen again. I had only used this piece a handful of times when I posted that and was thinking that that might have been a defect, I think the problem is solved now(me).

It can happen! It only proofs Clavia's philosophy about the Lead is right: no 'going-deep-in' menus, which makes all the tweaking obscure to the user, but every knob its dedicated function. Beware, some strange things will happen when you enter modes like Manual mode and Pelle's mode...

And you can be proud on yourself, because you found out the solution yourself
