Sampling from a Roland VR700 into my Electro 6D73

Seeking advice on how to sample from my Roland VR700 keyboard into my Nord Electro 6D73. Specifically, I want to put some drum sounds from the Roland into my Electro 6. I don't want the Nord to play any drum rhythms. I just want the to strike the Nord key and have it produce a tom-tom sound. Thanks in advance for any help.

Search on the forum as a number of members have posted drum samples you can use.

I’ll go searching in a bit when I’m back on my laptop.

To get your Roland's drum sounds into the Nord, first you would record them into your computer, then you assign them to keys and save them, then download the saved file into your Nord. The tool to do all of this is the Nord Sample Editor (you need at least version 4 to do the recording part). You also need to have an audio interface on your computer (you plug the Line Out of the Roland into the Line In of the audio interface, and then the Nord app can do the rest).

Forum member "My Keys To Music" has quite a few tutorials posted on YouTube and also offers a course. Here's a link to his free video on use of the Nord Sample Editor 4 at Good luck!
