Nord 6D huge volume drop

Post by reyybarra »

Hey guys, booted up my 6D that I keep in the studio yesterday and noticed a huge volume drop. twisting knobs doesn't make a big difference, changing patches doesn't either. I unplugged all pedals, and cables and tried new cables and even the amp. For some reason nothing is really helping.
Has anyone experienced this problem or have a fix for it? It's almost unusable at these volumes.
Thanks

Did you observe whether the Headphone output also dropped?
Do you hear any differences in the L and R channels?

The audio outputs use dedicated voltage rails from the Nord's power supply. If all audio affected equally this seems most likely cause. Easiest possible solution: Re-seating both ends of the power cable between the power supply and the main board (inside Nord Chassis). Contact a service technician if you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself. If doing it yourself be sure to unplug the mains AC power before opening chassis.
