Where to buy an NP 88

I'm looking to join the red club and wanted to get some advice as to where's the best place to purchase an NP88. Typically I buy a lot of gear used but haven't seen many NP88s going used. Where did you guys pick up yours?
I've played a Roland RD 700SX for years. It sounds good in the studio but sometimes live it sounds out of tune. I want to transition to using an NP88 dedicated to piano and rhodes sounds and using Reason and my new Novation Impulse 61 to build everything else.
Plus, nothing looks sexier on stage than a Nord.

A good number of us get from Sweetwater, I've bought a few Nords from them and they seem to do about the best deal to the public.. I have a few other places that I get good discounts at having spent many thousands over the years, but even they won't touch Sweetwater's price usually..
I know it's quite a bit more, but since you're going to throw in a 61-key controller I'd suggest considering the Stage 2 88, you could use the 61-key to control both Reason and the second slot on the Stage 2 so that it'd be like having 2 stages, that's how I set up (only backwards, with a Stage 2 compact and 88-key controller).. It's worth considering, at the very least.. But obviously you won't go wrong with the NP88..
Other than that, Craigslist or Ebay would be the only other places I'd check.. All of the local used places I can think of (action music, atomic music, chuck levins, etc.) are probably not going to have many keyboards at all, let alone a NP88..

Used NPs are pretty hard to find. The one or two I have seen for sale, the asking price was at or just a tad below what I can get a new one for.
I would try Craig Calistro in Orange, Con. He's definitely lower then Sweetwater type places.

Tell him I referred you. He mainly sells Pro Audio studio gear but he's a legit Nord & Kurzweil dealer. He's actually an excellent pianist himself in addition to be a very knowledgeable and reputable dealer.
Pro Star Audio in NY is another seller. They might be the same or a bit higher then Craig. I just feel more comfortable giving Craig the biz as opposed to a larger online type store.

I've seen Pro Star Audio selling them for $1999 through eBay and I'm considering going with them. My guitarist has bought pricey gear from them before and they've been reliable.

I second the Sweetwater approach. They sometimes offer extended warranties and have pretty good free tech support as well. I bought an Electro 3 from them and one of the octave LEDs did not function. They replaced the unit immediately. I also bought a Nord Stage 2 Compact and it came with a two year warranty.

Look for the blowout sale now that the NP 2 is released.
I just bought a B-stock Nord Piano 88 from GearOrphanage.com Price about 25% lower. I set it up last eve, and played for 15 mins. It's in perfect condition, still has the sticker on it, and the protector over the display. The pedals still have the plastic protectors on.
I'll report back when I've given it the full check out tonight.

OK - my NP 88 is in perfect condition. And... it sounds great!
If you can find one, now is the time to get a NP v1, as the remaining inventory will be at a discount to make way for the NP 2.
