Hello everybody,

Today I got my new Nord Piano 5 and I'm really fascinated about this wonderful and excellent keyboard.

Can someone in this forum give me the information which single sounds I need to layer "Grand Digi Pad LF" ?

This would be great and I appreciate your help.

@FZiegler: The sound is one of the demos on the website:

and I guess that the nice question is whether it is one sample, maybe of that list:

or whether it’s made in the NP5 as a combi of two samples which may only be answered by NP5 users.

For this reason I’d like it very much if an answer came from those users who know the particular instrument.

well you have a NP5 right? So the answer could be easy, I took a look at the list of NP5 Programs by downloading them from https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sites/def ... rd-piano-5 and I can see a Program called "Grand Digi Pad", could be it?

If that's what it is about, the question should be answered. The "LF" is not part of the sample name but just attributing the player of the demo (Leif Falk). So the sample you are looking for should be named "Grand Digi Pad" - which you should be able to find. You can the see yourself which of the 4 sound engines are contributing to the complete sounding.

There is a program called "Grand Digi Pad" in bank B of the factory setup of the NP5, but there is no sample called like this. You may look at the "Grand Digi Pad" program on your NP5 and check which Piano(s) and which Pad(s) are used in this, I don't have a NP5 and therefore cannot look into the program ...

Program "Grand Digi Pad" is only a Piano sound and the Pad programs do not sound in a way (for me) that a layer can meet this demo.

Same for "Soft Paws ED" and "Grand Shades" - they are also brilliant for me.

I like these 3 sounds so much and I want that my brand new PIANO 5 sounds similar.

But please do not misunderstand me: I like most of the factory programs very much and the Piano is really great, very good for playing live.

If I could build these 3 sounds additionally and store them I would be such a happy man

So I thought that some of the users in this forum would be able to give me some more information.

Stiegele, I don‘t know how familiar you are with nord systems. Usually you can, with the help of the „SHIFT“ button and simultaneously pressing or turning any other button or knob, see their settings without changing them. This, plus seeing the name of the sample in the display of the respective program, should help you find out all details of this sound program.

Have you tried to activate (turn on) the Synth section of that "Grand Digi Pad" program? Are you using also an Expression pedal (connected to CtrlPed input)?

@Tasten-Bert: I am a total Newbie - Nord Piano 5 arrived yesterday afternoon and since then I try to get familiar with this instrument. So I'm checking all the replies to my post and go on step by step. And I'm a guy who does not like reading instruction manuals very much. Learning by doing if possible.

@maxpiano: I'm not using an expression pedal as I try to reduce pedals whereevery possible. Sustain pedals and rotary switch (for my Electro 3) need space enough
