Controls programs from one Nord to Another

Hi all,

I have a Stage 2 EX and an Electro 6D. I've noticed that when connected to Midi together when I change a program on my Stage 2EX it also changes to programs in sequence on my Electro 6D. The only issue is the Electro 6 banks don't match up with my Stage 2EX. All my sounds are in Program Bank D on my Stage 2EX but when bank D is selected on my Stage 2EX it goes to bank Y on my Electro 6D but all my sounds are in Bank P on my Electro 6D. Is there anyway of aligning the banks together? I don't want to move all my sounds to bank Y on the Electro 6D if possible.

What it changes to on Electro 6D:- A I Q Y

Hi, no need to ask the same question in two different forums. It will be answered!

If your direction remains Stage 2 EX > Electro 6D, then you could use the Extern section of your Stage. But you would have to set up the Extern section for each patch/program on its own. Might be some work. Maybe while watching a nice movie.

Would be best do prepare a chart/spreadsheet with patch no. (Stage) directing to patch no. (Electro).

You also have to specify MSB and LSB in the Extern section, which selects the bank.

I've had a response direct from Nord and they suggested using the the Ext Section as well. Just have to program it all now!

meant "directing to the MIDI representation of the patch no. (Electro) consisting of MSB, LSB, PC."

For the Stage 3, I found a MIDI program change (PC) calcualtor spreadsheet on the forum. Maybe there is something alike for the Electro 6. Unless, you'd have to calculate it on your own according to the manual.
