Stage 3 OS release - version 2.62
Stage 3 OS release - version 2.62
Apparently a new firmware for the Stage 3 has been released today, not too long after 2.60. Here's the only change listed:
- Fixes rare issue with spurious knob value changes.
I personally wasn't aware of any issue, with 2.60, that matches with this description. Any idea what that could have been?

Can't remember if that was a NS3 issue but there was some report not so long ago that the panel showed changes of parameters when no knob was being tweaked. It must have been something, otherwise it would not have been fixed!

Re: Stage 3 OS release - version 2.62
The only weird thing I encountered recently was the organ drawbars acting like having their own life on a program that had been stored as live drawbars and then switching live off: Changing one drawbar would result in some other drawbars spinning around on my NS3C. Like bewitched. Didn't have the time yet to test profoundly.

"fixes rare issue with spurious knob change values". Not sure how rare it is -- as we often get reports here of "ghosts in the machine", e.g. panel indicators with a mind of their own, but not affecting the sound. I've had it happen, but ascribed it to poor power. I haven't seen this in a while, though.
I think I have gear issues ....

No I occasionally go to their website and check the news. Now that you make me think about it, I have been subscribed to their newsletter for a couple of years but I have never received anything of any sort...

Re: Stage 3 OS release - version 2.62
I checked - I got the last notification by Email from Clavia in March 2020, announcing OS updates for NE5, NP4 and NG. They stay silent since then ...

I have experienced the same sometime ago (compact version). Will try the update and let you know.FZiegler wrote:The only weird thing I encountered recently was the organ drawbars acting like having their own life on a program that had been stored as live drawbars and then switching live off: Changing one drawbar would result in some other drawbars spinning around on my NS3C.
