Hammond B3 - Chorus/Stereo Pan on Left, Leslie on Right

Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing well. Periodically I'll see a post where someone would like to have the B3 on one panel not use the same Leslie/Reverb effect as the B3 on the other. As the Stage 3 is programmed to utilize just one Leslie/Reverb setting (can't have a fast Leslie on Panel A and a slow Leslie on Panel B), I put together an easy work-around that uses the Chorus and Stereo Pan effect in place of the slow Leslie for one panel; the reverb on the B3 can also be set differently than what's used on the panel with the Leslie. For those playing in mono, I would suggest replacing the Stereo Pan effect with a Tremolo effect set lightly and at the same slow rate as the Chorus effect. I hope this comes in handy for some of you. Take care.

Very nice! I haven't experimented much with things like this and I wonder what might be possible in my scenario where I'm using a Ventilator almost exclusively for all of my organ sounds via Output 3. What I've seen is that if I turn the NS3 internal Leslie sim back on, it basically overrides the external sim and puts the organ sound back into Outputs 1 and 2. Not sure if there's a setting somewhere that might allow me to use one panel of organ through Output 3 into Vent, while the other panel is routing through the internal Leslie. Basically giving me the ability to have two Leslies doing different things. I don't believe it's possible. It does seem like I should experiment more with things like the sound posted above. Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome! LeftyBass68 posted that he splits the panels like you mention at

very smart !
wanted already to do that in the past but was not able to find a solution as the Leslie is unique...., but your workaround is great in this case
Thanks !

I always see what I can do with the internal sound capability of the Stage 3 before turning to using samples, but another possibility of having two distinctly different B3/Leslie/Reverb setups is throwing a B3 sample into the mix. Using the B3/Leslie on both panels (panel A reverb used for both), one can also add a third B3 (sample) on panel B using that reverb. I have quite a few B3 samples posted at
nord-user-samples-nsmp-samples-f14/hamm ... 21307.html that have the Leslie incorporated into the sample if you ever want to try it. An example of three of the samples with a slow Leslie is below. Take care everyone.

Hello, I'm sorry for the trouble, the preloaded Fender Precision sample #126 was used by another version of this program but isn't needed for this one. A handy tool if you get this error again: the
NS2 and NS3 Program Viewer, posted at
nord-stage-forum-f3/ns3-program-viewer-t19939.html will allow you to view all parameters of any Stage 2 or Stage 3 program. Attached is a PDF of the output with info showing that I had sample 126 "Fend Prec Direct ST Mono 3.0" loaded but not used. Similarly, the pianos not used are White Grand Lrg and BlueSwede Lrg. Take care.
