Trouble shooting

Hi, I own a Stage 3 Compact and I have been having two issues I can't seem to find resolution to online...
When I have keyboard split on, I cannot octave shift (in this case, the synth engine). It works sometimes when I press it repeatedly and then just does nothing and then I cannot get out of of the keyboard split window. I hit the shift/exit button and nothing happens. It won't exit and I am stuck there. Does anyone else have these issues? Any suggestions on how to resolve? Do I need to update the latest operating system? If so, is there a link that shows you how to update?? Thank you everyone in advance.

Make sure you have the right panel in focus. There are also some scenarios if you're pushing the upper or lower limits of octaves that you can't change it beyond a certain range.

I also cannot try and save the program either. When I hit save the screen blinks temporarily but won't save. Something is up with my Nord!!

Can you upload a video of this behaviour?

Had it worked before? Or are you totally new to the NS3C?
What about the memory protection being on?

Done all that.
Thank for the suggestions.
Even tried downloading latest software.
3 days left in warranty so shipping back to Nord to have repaired.
I'll keep you posted.

Just know that when I try to raise the keyboard an octave or two, it won't work, despite having the keyboard split. You also cannot exit keyboard split. The screen locks/freezes. Lastly you cannot save or save as. You hit the button, it flashes temporarily and the only thing you can do is turn it off and turn it back on again which leaves you with an unsaved program.

Yeah in that case it does sound like something in the hardware is off. Keep us posted.

If it's new, there is sometimes a problem with the major ribbon cable connectors coming loose during rough handling. Some are comfortable opening up a warranty keyboard and re-seating a cable, others not so much. There was a spate of this a while back, but since has calmed down. One poor fellow kept getting broken replacements because the handling was so rough.

I ended up taking it to my local Long & McQuade where I bought it and they are shipping it off for repairs....3 days shy of warranty!! Phew. Thanks to everyone for their input. It is greatly appreciated! When I get it back I will keep you posted as to what the problem was in case this happens to a fellow Nord owner.
