Can anyone explain why the Softcase for the S3 76Hp is nearly twice the price of most other
Nord softcases,. I,e, £250 as opposed to £155.

Probably because it has external reinforcement bars and wheels. Most of the standard soft cases don't have either. Plus, pricing has gone up on all Nord products. The standard 73 key soft case has gone up $100 ($199-$299 US) as has the case for the NW2, which went from $299 to $399 US at Sweetwater. And, that case has no wheels or reinforcements.

Also, most other cases (88, 73, 61) can be used on several Nord models, so they sell in larger volumes, bringing down the price.
The Stage is the only Nord product line with a 76 HP model, so that case is specific only for that instrument. All the "custom" cases for models with non-standard dimensions (76HP, Wave 2, Grand) tend to have higher prices.

The cases are very different. I have 3 of them.
