Hammond NSMP Samples
Posted: 06 Aug 2021, 16:42
I hope all of you are doing well. For the Nord Piano and Grand folks especially, here are several samples of the Nord Stage 3 B3 organ with the drawbar settings and other information provided in the file names. "SL" indicates Slow Leslie, "C2" is Chorus 2, "3rd" is the 3rd Harmonic, and so on. Only reverb is needed to get what you hear in the MP3 examples. I will add to these as time permits. Take care.
Updated Aug 8, 2021 - Revised "B3 888632234 SL W.nsmp" and added "B3 888 SL C2 W.nsmp"
This MP3 covers the 888, 888632234, and 888686868 slow Leslie samples This MP3 starts with the slow Leslie 888 above, and then adds versions with the C2 chorus, C3 chorus, and C3 chorus with 3rd harmonic below. At the end I go between C3 versions with and without the touch percussion. Updated Aug 10, 2021 - In anticipation of some fast Leslie samples I will be providing, I renamed the six Leslie Slow "LS" files above and any references to "SL" (Slow Leslie). I found having "L" first in the file name made it harder to differentiate between the slow and fast NSMP files I was creating, so I wanted to address that. Also, below is a Vintage 2 Hammond with the 888000000 setting and slow Leslie. I added a little EQ to the sample to highlight the higher harmonics that are present in the Vintage 2 model and the key click. In the MP3 I start with some individual notes so you can hear the Vintage 2 character. I hope you find these helpful, take care. Updated Aug 19, 2021 - These first two samples are slow Leslie 888 versions with the 2nd and 3rd harmonic. Fast Leslie samples. These took quite a while as the Nord Sample Editor couldn't automatically assign the proper keys to the notes sampled because of the fast Leslie effect, so each note had to be set up. As interpolation between sampled notes changes the Leslie speed and other time-related aspects of the sound, I used 6 notes per octave for each sample created (thus files are a little larger) and made sure each interpolated note used the sample above it. In the MP3 I play each NSMP file in the order provided below, and then play the four samples again an octave higher. Take care. MORE SAMPLES BELOW AT
