I'm sequencing bass and pads on the NL3 using Pyramid and playing a lead sound live over the groove. The bass and pads are very minimal maybe max 5 voices with the pad tails. Yet I'm getting the worst voice stealing, even with only the mono bass by itself it gets cut off so easily, often as soon as I hit the first key. (And I'm not using chord mode, so ruled that out)
Can anyone help please, this is so disappointing.

The MIDI engine seems buggy when playing live over an external sequence. I've had various similar versions of this problem too. I figured its just an NL3 thing... its probably the buggiest Nord. They were way over their head making it.
I found a workaround. It happens when Local = On. Setting it to Off and enabling THRU on Pyramid made the voice stealing go away. I just hope doing this doesn't have any downsides as I prefer to work with Local = On to ensure that my gear functions normally when playing it. (For example Local = Off with echo-back wreaks havoc on Machinedrum's usability.)
EDIT: Yeah, I hate Local Off, worst idea ever. Because now when NL3 is at a jam and I try to use the performances I use for songs I'll have to turn it on to make any sound.
EDIT 2: Argh! This means I'll have to use Local Off with all my other gear too!
