Nachfolgemodell von NS 3

Hallo,

Leslie

Hello Leslie760
and a very warm welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthusiasts. You‘ll get good help and ideas here. Only thing is that its language is English. Google translation is mostly quite accurate.
Sunny regards from the middle of Germany

I would just buy the Stage 3. The release dates of new models of the Stage have all been 6 years apart, Stage in 2005, Stage 2 in 2011 and Stage 3 in 2017. Judging by this release schedule (which has been very regular), a Stage 4 would not be released until 2023. Nords hold their value, so just buy what you want now.

Hello DJKeys,
a heartfelt thank you for your clear message.
That's exactly what I wanted to know - in which period a model change could take place.
This brings me a big step closer to my decision.
I will let you know when I have made the deal perfectly.
Best regards from Germany

Note that there was usually an “EX” release after about three years, which didn’t add new functionality, but usually doubled memory.

Although many on this forum (in other posts) seem to believe this probably won't happen for the NS3...

This was the speculative post by cgrafx on the subject:
nord-stage-forum-f3/buy-a-stage-3-now-o ... ml#p133674
I believe it has been refuted elsewhere, though I couldn’t find that post.
The counterclaim was that these chips will continue to be available in quantities that allow manufacture and support for years to come, certainly in the small numbers that Nord requires. They sell thousands/tens of thousands per year, not millions like Yamaha.
