Hey pals,

I haven't used the sound manager in years. Recently bought a new laptop. I'm heading on the road and want to save my programmed sounds so I can use backline instead of bringing my nord.

Problem: I downloaded the recent version of Sound Manager. Connected via USB into thunderbolt 3, and the program is open but not connecting. All the icons are greyed out. Can anyone help? I leave Friday so unfortunately this is time sensitive. Thanks so much in advance!!

Best,
M

PS it's a Nord Stage 2, which I see is now "old school" !

I don't have a Mac, but maybe it's useful to declare which computer you have and what OS version.

No idea if the Stage 2 OS needs to have a certain version for the newer Nord Sound Manager, too.

Maybe it’s not because of the Stage 2 but because of the M1 platform and the OS release for M1. The latest information in the Nord Sound Manager update history is saying that it supports Catalina which runs on Intel platforms only, Big Sur is the release which runs on M1 but support for this is still missing

Both sample editor and sound manager are working great on my M1 macbook air with both the NS3C and NW2.
I use an el cheapo USB-C docking station with USB ports.

I'm having the same problem as OP with a Nord Electro 5... program is open and not connecting - icons all greyed out.

Can anyone help?

Works great on my M1s -- (direct connect, no hub) wonder what is going on?

I run in on my Macbook Air M2 and no issues. Not sure if it is running natively on the Apple Silicon or it uses Rosetta.
