*UPDATE SEE NEW SAMPLE IN COMMENTS BELOW*
Hi folks,
This song is a pain! This is the solution I'm going to attempt. Made my own vocoder voice sample and added the chords underneath. Plays on keys B D F# E, so hope fully can be layered with another sound for the rest of the song. I'm just playing one key at a time here. Relies on song being original key and tempo.
I may add a synth to this in the higher octaves but for now....

Hey no worries, just needed one to suit the band I'm with. Hopefully sounds on on the gig!

is your band playing to a click? Otherwise, I think it will be very hard for the sample to keep up with the band (not the other way around

)

Amazing, thanks! I've been trying Korg R3 vocoder but the result was always either too much feedback noise or not hearable.
This little cheat is fantastic

No, no click!
This sample is at the tempo of the original track. You are absolutley right and most covers bands seem to play it faster. With this in mind I made another sample at a faster tempo and put it on the octave abouve too.
Hopefully one of these will be 'roughy' right on the gig. There's no rehearsal!

There is a patch somewhere in the forum that just uses different notes for every syllable and thus it doesn't matter what the tempo is. Sounds perfect and you actually 'play' it

Accordionman Thanks for your sample. I used it Friday night at live outdoor gig here in Ontario Canada and not only did the audience love it but so did the guys in my band. It surprised the s*** out of them once i started triggering it. Great job on the updated version.

Hi Accordionman,
Wow, that's very good if you and your band can execute this with no 'click'!
