Electro motherboard
I've been playing a working Electro 1 for 20+ years, and the motherboard recently failed. Any suggestions on where I could pick up a replacement board? I've seen a few Electro 2 motherboards on eBay, but not sure if those would work in the Electro 1? I would assume no, but I understand that the 1 and 2 are identical other than the software version. Anyone know? Thanks!

Hi - as another owner of an original Electro I can confirm that the Electro 2 is functionally identical. All Electros became Electro 2s via a software update.
I'm afraid I'm not sure where you would source a motherboard for a keyboard that is nearly 20 years old save for scouring the usual places (reverb, eBay...) for a "spares or repair" Electro 2.
It is possible that it may be simpler and cheaper to spring for a more recent Electro.
