It looks like there will be a new file format for the sample lib in the future:

I'm really excited when the update for our Nords comes and we get to test it

First I thought that was a webpage created by a mistake - but I see new files are popping in - very interesting! - https://www.nordkeyboards.com/sound-lib ... ked-string. The "Nylon Guitar" on Sample Library 3 is 681 KByte - The new ones are much bigger - 1.7 & 1.9 MByte YES! - more realistic sounds! (I hope)

Also, this page isn't linked from anywhere. Was it leaked?

Its definitely in the making - like 20% finished.... Very good spotting risingforce! - your first post on this great forum.

Nord is filling the lib actually, you get more and more samples from minute to minute...and the extension is .nsmp4

I tried to load one of the samples into my NS3 using the current version of Sound Manager, but it looks like it is not a supported file type yet. Tried my NW2 as well, didn't work in that unit either. Probably we will need an OS update to both units to use the new V4 files-

Looks to me like some of the new sample features described for the Nord Piano 5 may be coming to other modern Nords. Not for us E5 owners, I fear, but maybe the experience will be enticing enough to prompt an upgrade...

Even more interesting is that the Piano 5 is not listed. I thought that instrument was the basis for this new format-

No, don't think so. I already cited on the forum what was said about the new format on the Nord Piano 5 product page: round robin samples, unison blending several voices, true vibrato...

Great news. But there's certainly missing that Nord Piano 5 that has NSL4 support already mentioned on the specs page.
And it will probably bring an OS update for the NS3, won't it?
