Kurzweil LA Strings

Hi, friends!
This is a post made up of 4 programs created around the original "Big LA Strings" sound from my Kurzweil PC3 Le. I particularly like this Kurzweil tone.
The paches were placed in the same post to make the search easier, since they are sounds of the 'same family'.

Note that Loops are audible in some regions due to the original. I tried my best to get the best loop points during resampling process.
Try to make your adjustments according to your needs.

The others 3 paches - which I will post in the next few days - were reprogrammed by me on PC3 Le, by making changes to the V.A.S.T. (The Kurweil Synthesis method) and, thus, getting new tones with some small subtle differences, but which I consider very useful such "variations" because they sound better depending on the type of music and arrangement. So, we have more choices...

Hope you like it.

Take care and protect yourself.

Brazilian greetings to all.

PATCH 1: Big LA Strings
The "Big LA Strings" from my Kurzweil PC3 LE (resampled by me) as it is from the factory.

Suggested adjustments:
Attack Time: 11 ms
Release Time: 313 ms
Reverb: Hall (5.0)

Clavia Nord User Programs: https://nordusersounds.com/sound/50273

PATCH 2: LA Strings Kurzweil
This tone was programmed in the VAST architecture on the keyboard itself, and then, sampled. The multisample wave treatment was carried out with Reaper.
This tone is softer than the previous one (BIG LA Strings), and fits very well as background strings when the arrangement does not require much phrasing (1st. Violin), although it also gives good results, as seen in the demo song .

Suggested adjustments:
Attack Time: 21 ms
Release Time: 368 ms
Reverb: Hall (5.0)

Clavia Nord User Programs: https://nordusersounds.com/sound/50274

[hr]

PATCH 3: LA Camera Strings
The third (of four) patch from my Kurzweil PC3 Big LA Strings Family. This is a more detailed sound, where I gave more emphasis to the Bass, Cello and violas that can be heard subtly and that give to this patch a special chamber characteristic. I use it for music with acoustic guitar.

Suggested adjustments:
Attack Time: 61 ms
Release Time: 313 ms
Reverb: (Add some)

Clavia Nord User Programs: https://nordusersounds.com/sound/50276

PATCH 4: LA Philharmonic
The fourth and last variation from Kurzweil's PC3 BIG LA Strings. This is a bold tone with more harmonics. It sounds more cinematic (compared to the previous three of this "family"), making it ideal for musical pieces that require more full-bodied sounds and a some more depth. Programmed on the Kurzweil PC3 and the multisampled wave has been created with the Reaper.

Suggested adjustments:
Attack Time: 84 ms
Release Time: 368 ms
Reverb: (Add some)

------ End of LA Paches for now------- :keyboard2:

Hello iMacMan,
All of these string sounds are quite nice. I don't find the looping to be too noticeable, especially when layered with sounds from my other synths.

I have really been enjoying downloading and trying out all these new sounds you're creating. It's almost like opening up a Christmas present when a new one is posted. I sometimes think to myself, "What will be under the tree today?" Thank you so much for all you've done, and are doing. I know it's a lot of hard work for you, but believe me, it's very much appreciated.

Take care.

Gavin

Hi, JohnT! Kurz is a spectacular machine. I was impressed with it since the first one that went public, the K250! I also love the strings (Totally new on the PC3) and the electric pianos of the PC3 line, especially the CPs and FMs. Good to know that the samples were useful to you. Bessings.
