Any Limitations Using Electro 6D for piano?

Hi everyone,
I'm considering purchasing an Electro 6D (61 key) to control with a weighted 88 key controller keyboard in order to take full advantage of the Nord piano library.
My questions is; can the Electro 6D support all of the pianos available in the Nord library, and are there limitations e.g. only small sample sizes available etc? I'm not so worried about filling up the 6D with piano sounds and losing other sounds - piano is what I'd be buying it for, so that's not so much of an issue.
Any advice or pointers would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom.

Hi, no limitations apart the total memory size (like any other Nord with a Piano Section), but with a careful selection of the pianos you need and like you won't feel really limited in that sense either.

There are limitations in the Electro piano engine. Some subtleties don't exist: No pedal noise, no half damper sound etc. Does it have the piano EQ? I'm not sure.
So I'd say: You might miss something if you want to play piano solo, especially for classical, romantic music or pop ballads. It should be fine for band context. Says someone coming from classical music and now playing in a big band.

What FZiegler said.
In my perspective these are subtleties indeed; I am switching back and forth from a grand piano to the Electro and while I do miss half-pedaling (most of all these minor limitations) you can adjust. In amplified contexts such subtleties tend to get lost anyway.
What's important has also been said already: You can use the entire Nord Piano Library without restrictions, and without any loss of sound quality.

As discussed in another thread, half damper from an external master, as the OP is planning to do, is fully supported; my reply focused on his main question about piano sizes, but you are right with regards to piano EQ (but you can still use the NE6 effects section EQ) and pedal noise (a big loss..really? Not...?).

Well the pedal noise is quite nice actually!

Hi Thomas84,
a very warm welcome to this wonderful forum of nord enthsiasts.
I think as long as you aren‘t playing classical piano solo parts you can well live with a combination of NE6 plus a good weighted hammer action master keyboard. You even get access to all 88 notes, i. e. also those you cannot play on the NE itself. You‘ll then get a very good piano plus a very good organ with waterfall keybed at a really good price.
Sunny regards

Hi maxpiano, thanks for correcting me. Sorry for the wrong info!

It was not totally wrong FZiegler! On the NE6 "alone" you can't actually get half damping
