Sample loop randomly stops

Sometimes when I have a sample that
is looped with the hold function on, it will abruptly stop without me even
touching the keyboard. It happens Randomly. Anybody else run across this problem?? Thank you!!

I experienced the same issue on my Nord Stage 3, a couple of years ago.
My conclusion then was that when a loop was combined with another synth-layer, it eventually ran out of polyphony.
It improved with the latest OS, which fixed some of the problem with voice-stealing (polyphony).

Yes, sounds pretty much like running out of voices. Do you play dense chords or use the sustain pedal a lot?

Sometimes I’m not even playing anything else and the sample loop will sometimes stop!! This is my second Nord wave 2 and it happened on both!! Puzzling.

Seems like a problem that needs to be addressed to Nord, maybe a future OS-upgrade.

Is it always the same sample? Or does it happen with any longer samples? Do you use the sustain pedal to keep it running or the hold function on the Wave 2?

Maybe, you send it to them with a short explanation, so they can address the problem. Hunting bugs is a hard job.

It happens with different samples!! I use the hold function on the Wave 2!! I really believe it’s a software problem because it doesn’t happen all the time!! Maybe I can catch it happening on video!! Thank you for all the replies.
