Resample to free synth slots...

Hi everyone. I'm a newbie NS 2 user (old nord stage ex user....)
Maybe you experienced this. When you create for example a "big" strings section orchestra , for example using slot A for octave down and slot B for octave up , then you think....." if this would be in just one slot , I'd add a french horn section to this...."
so..... wouldn't be great if nord find the way to "merge" the two slots into one NSMP file?!?! maybe someone from Nord is reading....
if not.....maybe now the only way is to resample notes from the nord.....then to nord sample editor , then to the nord again.....
I own an old but still working Mac Powerbook G4 1.5 running 10.5.8.....does anyone know some resampling tool which....plays and resample quickly??
I founded some topic about this in the forum (neox - resampler.....but is just for Windows users....)

How about using a DAW (like Ableton Live) to trigger MIDI notes and to record them in one long session, with each sample starting nicely on the start of a bar. That should make it pretty easy to slice it up and save it to separate files. I know you should be able to do this pretty quicky in both Logic and Live. Not as convenient as starting up a program and ending up with X samples in a directory, but it should still be a lot quicker than doing it manually.
