Good two tier stand for multiple nords?

I have a nord piano 88 key, and a nord lead I stack on top of it. The problem is the second tier stand I have is too low, so the nord lead sits too low and obscures the nord piano control interface, and makes it difficult to hit some keys. Any recommendations for a good two tiered keyboard stand? I want to be able to jam out on the lower keyboard without worrying about hitting the upper one. Sub $100 would be great.

Welcome!

Where are you from? Different brands cost less on different continents and are easier to get here and there.

I'm from central western europe and use K&M table style stands (German):
K&M 18810 Omega stand
K&M 18953 Table-style stage piano stand
With the expansions for the 2nd tier they are both around 150~200 EUR, not 100. There are less expensive models/brands in the US, I think.

Hi and welcome to the forum from my side as well! :keyboard2: :welcome:

Regardless of where you live, if you can get something like the K&M Onega stand, this one is the perfect keyboard stand imho...!
https://www.thomann.de/at/km_omega_1881 ... 1611601630
(Including the extensions for your Nord Lead)

I know the “Pro” version is about 30€ more, but it’s worth it in terms of transportability !
https://www.thomann.de/at/km_18820_omeg ... 1611601630 (This is the stand only, the extensions are not included and need to be bought separately)

In general, it’s not the cheapest option out there, but it makes up in usability! (And it’s nice to have free space under the stand)
The option of expanding it near endlessly with iPad holders, Mic holders... is also insanely great!

BTW the Omega stand is shipped with rather broad traverses. There are now smaller/slim ones: K&M 18827. Perfect for slim stage pianos like your Piano 3 should be.

I use this Hercules 2 tier stand. Love it! Very sturdy, easy setup and breakdown. And the price isn't bad at $199. Check it out.

Hello jubjub,

I can roll the advertising drum a bit for my k&m 18950 stand because I can well imagine that this one is a good choice for you as well. You can adjust the height and the depth of the upper keyboard‘s tier. The height is adjustable in 8 steps with a distance of ca. 43 mm - I am in the forth from top hole. The depth can go further forward - I am in the frontmost* as my korg is not very deep. Even if not all the original positions fit to your needs: it‘s very easy to drill an additional hole yourself. I did it.

The stand is suitable for sitting as well as standing playing position. I play standing. You can lower the legs in 5 steps of 5 cm each. The whole stand plus second tiers has a weight of I guess 12 - 14 kg. The price in Germany is around 180 € for all. It is very stable on stage.

Would be glad if you could keep us informed about your ongoing.

Cheers from Germany

The K&M 18953 I mentioned above is the slim version of yours, Tastenbert! It fits better for stage pianos - your one is perfect for workstation style instruments which have more depth, I think.

But nevertheless - they both are solid like... I don't know what. Maybe close to a tank.

Hmm, one could think the 18953 is for stage- and digital pianos, but there may be some disadvantages:
- the Nord Piano 3 has a depth of 34 cm, the k&m 18953 of only 26 cm
- the 18950 is adjustable also in its width - the 18953 is not. Either the keyboard fits well or not
- the 18953 has not any one hole for the keyboard‘s rubber feet in it. At my 18950 these holes fix the keyboard in back/forward direction.
I can post more fotos if desired.
Cheers, and stay healthy everybody

Hello, I found a solution that works, especially if you have a nord combo organ. I will also post links on where to get the stuff, no fabrication needed, just patience.

here are the links.

This works and works well. Im not sure about putting a 200 lbs instrument on it, but I put a nord lead 2 on it and a laptop, the secret is using the clamps, tighten them.
