Totally subjective. There is no "best".

"Pick your favorite or most-used Grand Piano from the Nord Library"
"You may select 1 option"

How should one vote if the favourite is not the same as the most-used one?

Best for what? Rock? Pop? Jazz? Easy listening? Folk? Country? Classical? Solo in any of those genres? Ensemble in any of those genres? Live in any of those x-factors? Recording in any of those x-factors?

I can’t find a single “best” because they serve different purposes for different reasons.

Perhaps a question to get at the answer you’re looking for might be better positioned as: If you could only use ONE grand piano for all time from the Nord piano library, which would it be (and why, for bonus points). I think to that question I would have to answer White XL - as their most recent addition to the grand library, it seems the most advanced of the lot, as a Steinway B it can sit well in practically any setting, it’s even a little quirky in its tuning (which I don’t find to be perfect).

Not sure if that helps it there it is :-)

Agree with the above

Lots of good sounds, none perfect
The best is the one you prefer.

Apart from the obvious subjectivity of the choice (and the 100th topic by the same author on the same subject), why the poll doesn't even include all the Grand pianos?

Will you ever post anything useful apart from countless "which is the best piano" threads?

I'll buck the trend here and post something positive.

I like these polls, and I can never get enough of them. The Nord library is large and often overwhelming. It's not always easy to just "trust your ears" when choosing particular pianos. One's own ears can often be suspect - I appreciate reading the opinions of others. Also, too much can be made of subjectivity in general, especially with amateurs. If Chick Corea tells me that THIS particular Nord Rhodes sample is the best, I'm going to listen to him and not worry about "trusting my ears."

SO - when I see that most people chose the White Grand (including myself this time), as their overall favorite, that tells me that yes, the White is a very good sample. Granted, we here in Nordland tend to hail with hosannas every new sample that comes down the pike (let's not forget the almost-crazed adoration of the quirky Royal Grand 3D) - so given that the White is the newest flavor, it makes sense that it gets a lot of votes.

Will the status hold? You never know. Once upon a not very long time ago, the Italian was being praised to the skies. Now it has 1 out of 59 votes as of this writing.
