Control pedal with lfo?

Hello everyone,
There is as you know only one LFO/layer on the Nord Wave 2. I was thinking it should be possible to exapand upon that by connecting a pedal that works like an LFO - instead of manual foot motion up/down it sends signals based on the LFO settings of the box. Would be awesome to br able to get access to all the modulation that the pedal has access to. I have tried to find something like it but haven't found anything.
Does anyone know if this kind of box exists?
Does anyone know if it would be technically possible to DIY? I have never used a pedal and don't know anything about them, just assuming that if you can control the signal in an LFO-like way it should be able to work.
I know there is a custom made LFO expander that works with OB6/P6/Wave2 but I am looking for something smaller and simpler.
